Tourism Business Digital Shift Support Subsidy

- Closes once applications reach the budget.
Eligible costs
Basic digital tools newly adopted to solve staffing and efficiency problems in receiving visitors to Tokyo: package-system implementation (set-up, data migration, manuals, customisation) and cloud/application fees within the project period. Accompanying devices from the same vendor (smart locks, card keys, dedicated tablets) also qualify
Tools named in the official examples
Examples in the guidelines: a channel manager for booking sites, CRM, self check-in/check-out systems, room-lock management, online booking and payment for travellers, AI chatbots and other digital communication systems
Not covered
Projects whose aim is multilingual or cashless support as such, scratch-built systems, stand-alone devices without a system, general-purpose PCs and tablets, maintenance, 2–3-month trials, anything used outside Tokyo, contracts or payments before the grant decision, card payments
One of the few schemes that also covers cloud fees within the project period. Payment must be by bank transfer from the grantee's own account.

Starting early
The project starts after the grant decision; anything contracted, carried out or paid before it is ineligible. About a month from application to decision; the project must finish within a year of the decision.
How to apply
By registered post or online via jGrants (GビズID Prime required). Two or more quotations for any purchase of ¥1M (ex-tax) or more; lump-sum quotations are not accepted.

You file the application. We prepare the quotation (and tell you when two or more are required), the catalogue, the technical part of the implementation plan, and the delivery notes and completion report the final report needs. We can introduce an administrative scrivener.
